The start of CAMRY.DEV
Who Am I?
My name is Cameron Rydwell, or CAMRY, and I am a 21 year old aspiring software and electrical engineer. I have been studying software engineering for 3 years, and have recently swapped to electrical engineering to close the gap between physical systems and software support.
The Early Days
I have been heavily invested in computers since I was a child, playing Minecraft on a crappy laptop with my brothers every night. I was first introduced to programming in my freshman year of high school, which got me hooked in the creative world in my finger tips.
Soon after, I applied for West-MEC, a private trade school based in the valley of Arizona and began working on serious projects that would later become products I work on in my personal life.
RYDWELL SCHOOLS
My first real project was a mobile app named
RYDWELL SCHOOLS (creative, right?). This app was for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Mobile Application Development competition that I signed up for.
Through this app, I was able to score myself 1st place in ARIZONA: STATE for the competition, moving me to the NATIONAL level in Chicago, Illinois later that year. Although the tank ran out of gas on that project, I have been hooked on making products I believe in and that aid me in my journey behind the keyboard.
WORD ESCAPE
Later on, I developed
WORD ESCAPE for FBLA's Computer Game and Programming Simulation competition, winning 1st place in ARIZONA: REGIONAL and ARIZONA: STATE, moving on to the NATIONAL competition in Atlanta, Georgia, with an undisclosed placement thereafter.
I have since begun improving this game and began writing a story for it. Feel free to check out that project and see how it connects to the future games I am working on!
Stay tuned for more updates on what's coming next.
